The gua number (命卦) is a simple concept in 8 mansions feng shui that assigns auspicious and inauspicious directions to a person based on his or her gua number.
This personal gua number can sometimes also be referred to as the life star, life gua, identity palace, etc.
The gua number 7 is linked to the Dui trigram which traditionally represents the youngest daughter in a family.
However in terms of personal kua numbers, one does not need to be a daughter to take on the attributes that align with the Dui gua.
If one is indeed the youngest daughter in a household, then it only provides more clarity when making feng shui changes. It does not give the person more power or influence.
Attributes Of Gua 7
The gua number 7 is associated with the metal element.
Except that while gua 6 is represented by strong metal, gua 7 is represented more by smaller metal items like fine gold jewelry.
People of gua 7 have extravagant taste.
They are the people who are most likely to indulge in fine dining and dress in designer clothing.

So these spaces are suited for living spaces where people congregate. For an individual, it would be appropriate for any of these good areas to be bedrooms, living rooms, exercise rooms, etc.
Bedrooms for example, should avoid being situated where a bad sector resides.
Each good sector also have specific life aspects that can be enhanced.
If for example, a homeowner wants to encourage harmony in the household, then the Yan Nian area can be a good place for the dining room or living room.
Personal grand duke
With the year of birth identified, it is possible to determine the personal grand duke of an individual.
The grand duke is essentially a representation of a strong energy force that should not be afflicted. Otherwise, bad luck and disaster can befall the afflicted person.
