Feng Shui Of East Sitting House Facing West

A house sitting on the east and facing west is known as a Zhen house. It has the element base of wood.

It has a Gua number 3, and is therefore also known as a Gua 3 house.

Under the concepts of 8 mansions feng shui, a residence with such an alignment would fall under the group of east house.

As a property on it’s own, it would embody the following energy map.

As the auspicious sectors are sheng qi, tian yi, yan nian and fu wei, while the inauspicious sectors are jue ming, wu gui, liu sha and huo hai, it can be observed in the energy map above that such a house is usually not suitable for landed property since the front third of the property consist of only unfavorable areas.

The implication is that houses facing west and sitting east is more suitable for apartments since such homes commonly have their main doors at the back or side of the dwelling unit.

However for landed homes, it can still be suitable if it has a main door or main entrance at the left or right of the house such as a corner unit.

In this case, for landed property with east sitting, the frontal section will not be able to draw on favorable energy. Owners can however remedy the unfavorable sectors to create a more neutral sector by applying remedies.

For example, if the main door and living room is at the west area, then the jue ming sector can be remedied by activating the north area within that sector associated with tian yi in the small taichi.

As the kitchen location is traditionally preferred to be located at the back of the house, the only possible kitchen location would be at the northeast since in bazhai feng shui, kitchens are ideally situated in inauspicious sectors.

Other living areas such as the bedroom, den, entertainment room, and study, etc, can be situated at the north, south, east and southeast respectively because they are the good sectors.

Less active rooms such as the storerooms and washrooms can be located in the bad sectors.
