Among the 4 inauspicious sectors and directions of 8 mansions feng shui, Huo Hai (祸害) is the weakest of the lot.
That is not to say that it is negligible. It just means that it is not as strong as the other 3 of Wu Gui, Jue Ming and Liu Sha.
Because when badly afflicted the carnage that it can bring to a household can be as disastrous as any of them.
In English 祸害 can be translated as harm caused by calamity. By itself the word 祸 means mishaps, accidents, or trouble caused by mistakes. 害 is a word that means harm.
Thus Huo Hai (HH) is an energy source described in 8 mansions as mishaps and mistakes.
However, it can also be associated to challenges and obstacles sprucing up in a person’s pursuits. Resulting in anything but unrestrained smooth sailing.
Those who are positive and have an optimistic outlook might term these things as challenges to overcome rather than barriers to progress. And that conquering these challenges are just part and parcel of life towards success.
